Long considered to be a hidden gem and exclusive paradise, the Brijuni Islands was once the home to former Yugoslav President, Josip Broz Tito.  Regardless of his controversial reputation, his palace and Brijuni’s paradise atmosphere drew in many of the world’s jet set from Sophia Loren to Elizabeth Taylor to Richard Burton. 

It’s on its way to making a major comeback with organized safaris (this is a major national wild life park) and the fact that the area is a yacht enthusiast’s dream.  Offering a more private atmosphere, the area holds favored appeal for those whom seek an escape from the paparazzi.
