Built in 1876 and situated at the base of Mt. Medvednica, this cemetery gives new meaning to the phrase of “rest in peace.” Mirogoj cemetery is a significant monument saturated with neo-renaissance style. It’s home to the souls of Croatia’s most prominent families. It’s also the location of significant works of art from some of Croatia’s most famous sculptures and architects.
