House Bukovac

Last updated on Saturday, 17 February 2018

The home of the painter Vlaho Bukovac is a typical urban stone structure with two floors and gardens on both the Northern and the southern part. After his death in 1922, his daughters transformed his atelier into an exhibition space open for visitors.

The studio and art gallery devoted to his work give a specific contemporary significance to Cavtat. The house itself is a museum that presents an idyllic life of a family of high artistic inspiration in a small town.

Since the year 2004 when it was reopened, the Bukovac House is a part of the Museums and Galleries of Konavle
