After many years of trying to bring Christmas spirit to the streets of Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik now has a true Winter Festival. It might even be snowing!
The curse of the monks from Lokrum is a well known legend even outside Croatia and people have been comparing it with the curse of the Pharaohs. The expelled monks cursed the island before they left - later possessors and owners - kings and princes died of unnatural causes.
