Culture Club Revelin is Dubrovnik's best-known large nightclub, set inside the historic Revelin Fortress beside the eastern entrance to Dubrovnik Old Town. The combination of medieval stone walls, modern sound and lighting, international guest DJs and late-night opening makes it very different from the smaller bars and clubs in Dubrovnik.

Revelin is the place to consider if you want a full nightclub rather than simply another late-night bar. The programme changes throughout the season, with resident club nights mixed with international DJs, so checking the event calendar before choosing which night to go is essential.

Is Culture Club Revelin worth visiting?

Revelin is worth considering if you want Dubrovnik's biggest conventional club night, particularly when a DJ you want to see is performing. Its biggest advantage is the setting: the dance floor, bars and VIP areas are built into a centuries-old stone fortress rather than a purpose-built modern nightclub.

The club itself is large, loud and designed around late-night electronic music, visual effects and busy event nights. It therefore suits a very different evening from having drinks in a small Old Town bar.

It is less appealing if your priority is inexpensive drinks or a relaxed local atmosphere. Revelin is a premium nightlife venue and recent visitor feedback frequently describes both entry and drinks as expensive, particularly on major event nights.

Music, DJs and events at Revelin

Culture Club Revelin combines recurring themed nights with guest DJs and international electronic-music acts throughout its main season.

The exact programme changes constantly, so it is better to choose your night based on the current event calendar rather than assume every evening offers the same music. Some nights are built around Revelin's regular concepts, while others feature a headline guest DJ.

The 2026 summer programme includes a mixture of house, electronic and club-oriented artists alongside recurring nights such as Revival, Neon Nights, Elevated, After Dark and Afterglow.

Culture Club Revelin tickets and entrance price

There is no single fixed entrance price for Culture Club Revelin. The cover charge depends on the artist or DJ performing that night, so use the official event page for the current price.

If you specifically want to see a headline DJ, buying through the official Revelin website in advance is sensible rather than assuming tickets will be available at the door.

A pre-purchased ticket does not guarantee entry regardless of circumstances. Revelin states that management can refuse admission, including to ticket holders, because of intoxication, disruptive behaviour, illegal substances or other entry-policy issues.

Age limit and dress code

Culture Club Revelin is strictly 18+. Bring valid identification, particularly if you are close to the minimum age.

The official dress code is described as chic, casual and fashion-forward. Revelin specifically advises against:

  • flip-flops
  • tank tops
  • sports shorts
  • swimwear

You do not need formal evening wear, but arriving directly from the beach in swimwear or very casual sports clothing is not a good idea.

What time should you go to Culture Club Revelin?

Doors open at 22:30. Arriving relatively early can make entry easier and gives you time to see the fortress before the club fills, while later hours generally feel more like the main nightclub part of the evening.

For a specific guest DJ, check the official event page rather than guessing when the headline set will start. Event schedules can vary even though the club itself remains open until 05:30.

Many visitors have drinks elsewhere in the Old Town first and continue to Revelin later, but there is no need to wait until after midnight if you want to explore the venue before it becomes busier.

General admission or VIP?

Standard general-admission tickets are standing only. If you simply want access to the club, bars and dance floor, general admission is all you need.

Revelin also offers separately bookable VIP areas. Its current layout includes Platinum, Gold and Silver sections, positioned around the main club and stage.

A VIP table includes club entrance and a drinks-spend arrangement. The exact table price and included drinks depend on the chosen VIP section and date, so check current conditions when booking.

VIP makes most sense for groups that want a guaranteed base, table service and their own space. It is unnecessary if your main reason for going is simply to dance or see a particular DJ.

Inside Revelin Fortress

The location is the feature that separates Revelin from an ordinary nightclub. The venue occupies the historic Revelin Fortress, combining exposed stone architecture with modern lighting, sound and visual installations.

The main hall includes a roughly 30-metre-long bar, dance floor, stage and several VIP areas. Revelin also has a spacious outdoor terrace overlooking Dubrovnik's historic harbour, although access and use can depend on the particular event.

The contrast between medieval stonework and a modern electronic club is a major part of the experience even if you are not visiting for a famous DJ.

Are drinks expensive at Culture Club Revelin?

Budget for Revelin as a premium nightclub rather than an ordinary Dubrovnik bar. Current visitor reports regularly describe the drinks as expensive, and the overall cost can rise quickly once you combine event admission with several drinks.

Exact drink prices can change, so we would not rely on prices quoted in older reviews. If keeping the night inexpensive is important, have your earlier drinks elsewhere and treat Revelin primarily as the late-night club portion of the evening.

How to get to Culture Club Revelin

Culture Club Revelin is at Ulica Svetog Dominika 3, immediately beside the eastern entrance to Dubrovnik Old Town.

The easiest landmark is Ploče Gate. Enter the Old Town from the east and Revelin Fortress is only around 80 metres ahead, making it one of the easiest major nightlife venues to locate in Dubrovnik.

If you are already drinking around Stradun or elsewhere inside the Old Town, simply walk towards the eastern end of the historic centre and Revelin Fortress.

Because the Old Town is pedestrian-only, taxis cannot take you directly to the club entrance. Ask to be dropped near Ploče Gate and walk the final short distance.

Can you leave Revelin and come back?

Yes. Revelin currently allows re-entry after you have entered the club, but keep your entrance ticket with you if you leave and intend to return later the same night.
