Because of its location and the fact that most of the Dubrovnik hotels are in this area, the main beach in Lapad bay (Sunset Beach) tend to be overcrowded often.
Not only hotels cause such state, but also you have most restaurants, cafe bars and apartments located in the immediate area, as well as children playgrounds. If you are in Dubrovnik with kids, they will love it because of the shallow sea and a water park that is set up during the summer!
