Split Travel Information
Split is an important traffic hub in Dalmatia. If your destination is one of Dalmatian islands, surely you will end up in Split waiting for a ferry. Split has largest airport in this part of Croatia, it is a last train stop when travelling south and a major bus hub.
SplitCard is the official free visitor card from the Split Tourist Board. If you stay long enough in registered accommodation in Split, you can collect the card free of charge and use it for 72 hours for free museum admission and discounts at attractions, tours, restaurants, shops and other participating businesses.
The important part is eligibility. From April through October you need to stay in Split for at least 5 nights. From November through March, a stay of 2 nights or more is enough. If you qualify, there is little downside to getting the card because the card itself costs nothing.
